I’m just a guy in my 40s trying to figure out how to get into better shape. I started trying to get my weight under control in September of 2012 through simple calorie restriction. That helped me lose the 25 pounds I had put on in the 6 months prior, but then I stagnated. I joined Fitocracy, started trying various things, started running, started cooking most of my own food instead of dining out and have now started some strength training. I’m down from my high weight of around 270 to hovering between 220 – 225.

I didn’t want to mix up my fitness stuff with the other blogs that I own (and ignore), so here we are.
