Well, that didn't work out very well...

So much for regularly updating a fitness blog. And for actually sticking with a plan/workout schedule/achieving goals…

Oh well. Shit happens. A lot…

Quick catch up: Didn’t develop or stick to a running plan this year, mainly because everything in my life changed. New job, new schedule, new apartment, new relationship. And pretty much all of these hit at the same time, early in the year. You would think I would have had time to adjust and get back on track, but you’d be wrong. I’m still adjusting to having to be up and productive by 0800, but that’s easy compared to the attempt to adjust to my girlfriend’s social calendar. I have been insanely busy and at least 3 orders of magnitude more socially active these last 10 months than I have the previous 10 years. But it’s good, I truly enjoy most of the things we go do together. It may not all fall under physical fitness, but it’s done wonders for my mental well-being.

So what brings me back here? Simple. I’ve put on 10 pounds in the last 2 months. And I want to start running again, I miss it. (And I just got yet another gadget, so I have a few reviews that I need to do.) The good(?) news is that I have access to a gym now. The bad news (for me) is that my girlfriend prefers to work out at 0530 instead of a reasonable hour. So there’s going to be more adjusting in my future if I want to actually be able to run a real 10k in 2015.
